DevQuest is a premier international online hackathon under the Tertiary category of CODEFEST, created to spotlight the talent, creativity, and innovation of undergraduate and postgraduate students from universities and institutes across the globe.
What to Expect:
- One intense round of competition
- 9 hours of coding and problem-solving
- Fully online – participate from anywhere
- Final Round: August 27, 2025
- A 2-hour online test run will be held one week prior to help teams get familiar with the platform and format.
Team Composition:
- 1 to 3 undergraduate or postgraduate students, all under the age of 36.
- All team members must be from the same university or institute and enrolled in the same degree program (e.g., BSc, MSc, MPhil, PhD), although not necessarily from the same specialization.
- Each team must include one academic coach from the same university or institute.
Awards & Recognition:
In addition to the cash awards for the top 3 teams, the top 10 teams, along with their academic coaches, will receive certificates under the following categories:
- Winners (1st place)
- First Runner-up (2nd place)
- Second Runner-up (3rd place)
- Merit Awards (4th–7th place)
- Finalists (8th–10th place)
Required Skills:
Participants should be proficient in:
- Git – for collaborative version control
- JavaScript, HTML, and CSS – core technologies for development
- SQL – for managing and querying relational databases
Rules and Regulations:
- Only team members who register for the competition are eligible to compete.
- Team composition cannot be changed after registration. No replacements will be allowed.
- A participant is allowed to be part of only one group.
- Teams will be ranked based on the total points earned by solving the provided problems.
- In the event of a tie, the team with the earlier final commit will be ranked higher.
- The judges’ decision is final and binding.
- To maintain a fair and impartial process, individuals who are current employees, interns, or former interns of 99x Technology are respectfully requested to refrain from participating.
