It is with great pride and excitement that I welcome you to CodeFest 2026, the 15th consecutive edition of SLIIT Faculty of Computing’s premier national ICT competition.

Over the years, CodeFest has grown into a dynamic platform that empowers students across Sri Lanka to showcase their creativity, technical skills, and passion for innovation. This year, we are proud to join hands with the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Digital Economy, and leading industry partners to elevate the experience and impact of this event.

CodeFest 2026 promises to be bigger and better, featuring a range of competitions from school-level to university-level challenges designed to inspire future tech leaders and foster meaningful industry-academia collaboration.

The Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIIT), the nation’s leading degree-awarding institute in the field of Information Technology, is proud to announce CodeFest 2026 for the 15th consecutive year.

CodeFest is the result of SLIIT’s ongoing effort to elevate the entire nation’s ICT knowledge and to support Sri Lanka’s aspiration of becoming a knowledge hub in Asia. Recognizing the present needs of the country, the Faculty of Computing of SLIIT conducts CodeFest as a nationwide software competition in collaboration with the Ministry of Education.

In addition, CodeFest is organized as part of a CSR initiative to disseminate IT knowledge across the island, and it has been recognized as a National ICT Competition.

CodeFest 2026 is more than a competition — it is a platform that celebrates innovation, nurtures talent, and connects education, industry, and national progress through technology.
