The competition aims to foster creativity, problem-solving, and real-world tech applications to address current societal and industrial challenges using IoT technologies.
Team Size
Teams must consist of 2 to 4 members.
Eligibility
✅Open to undergraduate students currently enrolled in state or non-state universities in Sri Lanka.
✅Each participant must provide valid proof of university enrollment.
✅Each university can send multiple teams, but a participant can only be in one team.
Number of Rounds:
The competition will consist of two rounds:
Round 1 – Proposal Submission & Presentation:
Teams must submit a project concept including problem statement, proposed IoT solution, system overview, and expected outcomes and present it to a panel of judges (Online)
Round 2 – Prototype Development:
Shortlisted teams from Round 1 will be given time to develop their prototypes and present their working prototypes to a panel of judges in a live session (in-person), followed by a Q&A session
Technologies / Syllabus:
Participants are encouraged to use a wide range of IoT-related technologies and platforms, including:
🔶Microcontrollers (e.g., Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi)
🔶Sensors and actuators
🔶IoT protocols (MQTT, HTTP, CoAP)
🔶Wireless communication (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LoRa, ZigBee)
Rules and Regulations:
🔷Each team must submit an original project idea. Plagiarism or reusing existing projects will lead to disqualification.
